Alumni Association Meeting & 2026 Calendar Preview

Join us as we begin planning for a milestone year. In 2026, Cardinal Newman will celebrate our school’s legacy through the decades—from Ursuline High School to Forest Drive to ten years on Alpine Road. With so much to look forward to, now is the perfect time to reconnect and help shape the future of our alumni programs.

At this meeting, you’ll learn about new events, ways to volunteer, and leadership opportunities within the Alumni Association. Whether you can give a few hours or help plan a major event, there is a place for you.

Celebrating our Cardinal Newman Legacy

As we approach a decade on our Alpine Road campus in 2026, Cardinal Newman is preparing a year-long series of celebrations to honor both our time in this new home and our long-standing legacy in Columbia. The Gala, held at Spring Valley, will launch this special anniversary year with an evening that brings together alumni, families, and friends to celebrate our mission through fellowship, great food, drinks, music, and more. We invite you to be a part of the celebration.

Kick off the month with a relaxed Alumni Happy Hour at Savage Craft Brewery. This is a casual, come-and-go gathering—no program, no pressure, just good conversation, familiar faces, and great local brews. Stop by, say hello, and reconnect with fellow Cardinals.

Cardinal Club Annual Golf Tournament

Spring Valley Country Club

Tee it up at one of our favorite alumni traditions—the Cardinal Club Annual #BacktheBird Golf Tournament. Enjoy a morning of friendly competition, camaraderie, and a shotgun start, followed by a BBQ dinner after play. All proceeds support Cardinal Newman Athletics, making every swing count.

Whether you’re dropping in for a drink or spending the day on the course, we hope to see you this March. Once a Cardinal, always a Cardinal.

Advancement Scholarship Presentation

Super Saturday vs. Ben Lippen

Cardinal Newman is proud to host Super Saturday as we welcome region rival Ben Lippen School for a full day of Cardinal athletics, family fun, and community fellowship. Alumni, bring your friends and family and spend the day back on campus cheering on the Cards.

Family Fun Zone

12:00–3:00 PM on the practice field will feature games and activities for kids and families.

Food and Treats Available All Day

Brown Bag Deli Food Truck, Italian Ice, Ice Cream, and Concessions will be available throughout the day as we look forward to a great time of fellowship and competition with two great communities.

Alumni Tent

Alumni, be sure to stop by the Alumni Tent for complimentary snacks and drinks. Look for the Alumni Tent and come say hello.

Admission is free and open to everyone. We hope to see you on campus this April!
