The Cardinal Cadence Crew will award two ($1,000) scholarships to current Cardinal Newman students who excel in both academics and music. Awards will be given to two students who are rising freshman, sophomores, juniors or seniors.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Applicants must be juniors, sophomores, freshman or eighth graders at Cardinal Newman School for the 2024-2025 school year
- Applicants must have a G.P.A of 3.0 or higher
- Applicants must have participated in at least one Cardinal Newman School ensemble during the 2024-2025 school year.
- Applicants must participate in at least one Cardinal Newman ensemble during the 2025-2026 school year.
- As a musician, the applicant must demonstrate leadership skills, musicianship, and maintain a positive attitude.
Essay
In addition to the above requirements, each applicant must write an essay on the following topic: Share an experience where you used music to inspire or support others. How did this moment strengthen your appreciation or love for the arts?
The essay should not exceed two typed double-spaced pages.
Application Deadline:
The application deadline is March 14, 2025.
In the event a student’s total Financial Aid/Scholarship package exceeds the total cost of tuition, the overage will be deducted from the amount of Financial Aid.
