Parent Faith Formation
At Cardinal Newman School, we believe the primary and most general way in which the Lord gathers us, forms us, and acts in the world is through the family. Therefore, the most important influence in shaping the religious and spiritual lives of our students should be their parents. As parents, though, we too need to be supported and nourished in the Faith.
The goal of the Parent Faith Formation Group is to create a community infused with religious truths and Christian values in a respectful environment. We strive to provide opportunities for our parents to grow in the faith through prayer, scripture studies and service. We are a Catholic community rich in diversity, and we acknowledge that by coming together in our common Christian walk, we can all grow together in the Truth Who is Jesus Christ.

Saint Joseph Catholic Church and School
Bible Study - High school Bible Study on Sundays from 7-8:30pm, led by three recent graduates of USC and Clemson. All high school students are welcome! Contact Mrs. Von Plinsky for more details.
Run With the Saints 5K and 1 mile fun run started in 2014 as a fundraiser for Saint Joseph Catholic School. It has grown into one of the community’s favorite road races, taking place every January in the Shandon neighborhood of Columbia, SC. This school year's event will take place on January 31, 2026, and registration is open now!
Groucho's on Forest Drive is hosting a spirit night to benefit St. Joseph Catholic School on November 20! More information here.
