After School Academics Program

 

This school year is going to be wonderful, full of opportunities for your child to get the support and guidance they may need or desire.   As you all know we have protected educational time during the day called Common time. Students will have an opportunity to meet with teachers, ask for support in content areas that they may have missed or are just struggling to fully grasp.  This time allows students to continue conversations to hopefully help them gain a deeper understanding of the material.  This process may also help build a stronger student - teacher relationship, which in turns helps to strengthen our community.  If a student is still struggling, and requires more intervention, we are offering the HW lab again after school this year.  The homework lab sessions are from 3:25- 4:45 Monday - Thursday. There is a fee of $50.00 per week for this program.  Parents can sign up their student via the google form, below.  Parents will then be billed in FACTS based on their HW lab request.  Once you sign up, it is your child's responsibility to follow up and attend the scheduled HW lab.  HW lab will be located in A107 each day.

The program will include: 

  1. reviewing students grades
  2. helping them manage their current work
  3. help them to create a manageable plan to complete any missing work
  4. students can also work with a math and ELA specialist to enhance their understanding in those subject areas.

 

After HW lab, students will be sent to the after care until they are picked up.  Aftercare is until 5:30pm and is in the cafeteria.
