Incoming Student Music Scholarships
The Cardinal Newman Department of Music is offering scholarships for newly enrolled music students in grades 8-12 for the 2021-2022 school year. Scholarships are awarded based on music ability and require that the student is a leader in one of our ensembles. Scholarship awards are based on the student essay and audition with the Department of Music faculty. Cardinal Newman ensembles include the Cardinal Newman Band (marching and symphonic), Orchestra, Honor Choir, and Cardinal Chorale. Scholarships are also available to exceptional piano or organ students who enroll in one of these programs and perform in one of our ensembles. Scholarship students will receive private lessons at CN. For more information about our ensembles, please Click Here.
Students interested in auditioning for a music scholarship should fill out the application below by February 20th, 2021. Students must answer the essay question and be enrolled in private lessons on the instrument that they wish to play at Cardinal Newman. The music faculty will select students based on the application to attend our music audition night.
Auditions will be held on a rolling basis and may be completed virtually or in person at Cardinal Newman School.
