Senior Capstone

In order to earn a Cardinal Newman School diploma, all students must successfully complete a capstone project during senior year.  The project is the Senior Social Justice Project, and it is designed to give the student an opportunity to demonstrate mastery of research skills, composition skills, organizational skills, oral communication skills, and technology proficiency.

The project begins in the late spring of the junior year, and it concludes in the late spring of the senior year.  In order to demonstrate the emphasis Cardinal Newman places on Catholic Social Justice teaching, each student must choose a contemporary social issue as her/his focus and discuss it within the context of Catholic Social Justice Teaching.
