Advancement Officer 
Cardinal Newman School of Columbia, South Carolina is accepting applications for a full time Advancement Officer. . We are seeking someone who will report to the Director of Advancement, and work directly with other advancement staff and the Principal to identify, cultivate and solicit major annual gifts.
 
Qualified candidates will:
 
  • Have a minimum: Bachelor's degree.
  • Have 5+ years of experience, preferably working in a non-profit advancement department and must have experience with Raiser's Edge.
  • Strong Computer Skills including experience with Microsoft Office and Google Drive applications.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Must possess the ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and writing skills: the ability to interact with a variety of people and clearly convey information in writing and in person.
  • Proven project management skills.
  • The ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as take initiative to work independently.
  • Commitment to respect and maintain confidentiality of donor information.
 
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
 
  • Provides leadership for design/messaging/implementation/evaluation of all aspects of a highly segmented and personally messaged Annual Fund Program.
  • Works with external vendors and internal staff to create and coordinate Annual Fund Appeal, Alumni Appeal, Annual Report publication, and other related projects to meet the fund-raising objectives of the department, under the guidance of the Director of Advancement.
  • Designs, promotes, and manages an effective Annual Fund Gift Society Program. Works with the Principal and Director of Advancement to identify, research, and cultivate prospects for increased annual fund and major gift project giving.
  • Assists with the planning and implementation of key cultivation and stewardship events, including Homecoming, regional meetings, and special group gatherings.
  • Plans and implements multi-faceted programs for alumni, students, and friends that increase good will and positive relationships with the school.
  • Works closely with the marketing director to develop segmented promotional materials that help build brand awareness and promote positive relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Oversees the Raiser's Edge prospect management system to input and acknowledge gifts in a timely manner; runs reports, queries, and mailing lists as advised by the Director of Advancement.
  • Uses Raiser’s Edge to create and track special event fundraising goals and attendance, and updates and maintains records regularly.

Short Term Substitute Teacher for Mathematics 

 

Cardinal Newman School of Columbia, South Carolina is accepting applications for a Short Term Substitute for Mathematics starting in September 2021 through mid-December 2021.   We are seeking a subject area expert in the areas of 7th and 8th grade math labs and algebra I.   Qualified candidates should possess a strong educational background in mathematics, and must have a passion for inspiring mathematical inquiry in the classroom.  The ideal candidate will hold a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and/or teaching. 

 

Responsibilities include:

 

  • Teaching 7th and 8th grade math labs (learning fundamentals of math), and Algebra I,
  • Work with the Dean of Instruction on lesson plans and classroom management,
  • Responsible for students during class time, and duties as assigned,
  • Learn FACTS system for taking class attendance, and entering student grades,
  • Participate in weekly mass with students

Family Connection Counselor:

 

Cardinal Newman School has partnered with Catapult Learning, LLC and will be hiring

a qualified and experienced Family Connection Counselor for the 2021-2022 school year.  

 

With over 40 years of excellence in education, Catapult Learning provides K−12 contracted instructional services to public and private schools throughout the US.  They specialize in supporting students who needs additional assistance academically with an array of proprietary tools and resources.

 

The Family Connection Counselor will be considered a school liaison by creating a partnership with the Parent community of Cardinal Community School.  In this role, you’ll be a parent advocate by providing education, guidance, and resources to ensure the necessary tools are provided to support the engagement and educational process of the student population.  This is a 38-week, Full Time contract (August 2021- May 2022). 

 

Job Duties: 

  • Provide support to families and educators to help assist students with their academic and behavioral growth and development.
  • Deliver strategies to ensure family engagement and education.   
  • Provide consultation to families of the assigned school.
  • Provide family workshops and resources.
  • Establish and maintain required documentation to ensure the compliancy of company, local, state, and federal regulations.   
  • Ensure effective and consistent communication with colleagues, peers, leadership, parents, and students.   

 

Requirements: 

  • Current School Counselor Certificate, LPC, or SW License  
  • Master's Degree in a Counseling Field  
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience with counseling children/students K-12 
  • Experience with classroom and virtual counseling preferred  
  • A positive and enthusiastic attitude towards students, administration, parents, and other internal and external customers

Interventionist:

ELA (Literacy) Interventionist Full Time

Cardinal Newman School has partnered with Catapult Learning, LLC and will be hiring a qualified and experienced ELA Interventionists for the 2021-2022 school year.

With over 40 years of excellence in education, Catapult Learning provides K−12 contracted instructional services to public and private schools throughout the US. They specialize in supporting students who needs additional assistance academically with an array of proprietary tools and resources.

The ELA Interventionist will focus on individual or small group instructional sessions daily in Reading with their assigned students and grade levels. This is a 38-week, Full Time contract (August 2021- May 2022).

Job Duties:

  • Instruct Reading to assigned students in a face-to-face school setting (virtually, if necessary).

  • Deliver designated instructional models and strategies to eligible students by utilizing company-designed materials.

  • Ensure the maintenance of individualized skill-appropriate lesson plans provided by Catapult Learning.

  • Establish and maintain required student documentation to ensure the compliancy of company, local, state, and federal regulations.
  •  
  • Ensure effective and consistent communication with colleagues, peers, leadership, parents, and students.

    Requirements:
