A Visit to Our Lady of Perpetual Help

On Sunday, October 3rd, our Principal, Mr. Rob Loia, and our Director of Admissions, Mrs. Michelle Holbrook visited Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Camden to attend Mass and speak to the community about Cardinal Newman School. They received a warm welcome from Cardinal Newman Alumnus Father John Zimmerman (Class of ’84), who has been the Pastor of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church since 2014.

After graduating from Cardinal Newman in 1984, Father Zimmerman attended USC where he earned a B.S. degree in Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism in 1989. He later attended University of St. Mary’s of the Lake, Mundelein Seminary from 1998-2003 where he earned his Master’s of Divinity, Theology, Sacred Scripture. He was ordained a priest in 2003 for the Diocese of Charleston.

It was a great morning to share the good news about CN with families at Our Lady of Perpetual Help! We are grateful for the good work Father Zimmerman provides for his community in Camden and for his continued commitment to Cardinal Newman!
