Academic Support
At Cardinal Newman, our Student Support Services team is dedicated to helping every student thrive—academically, socially, and personally. Led by Ms. Christina Atkinson, the team partners with students to ensure they can access the curriculum to the fullest of their ability. Support plans are thoughtfully tailored to meet each student’s individual needs and coursework, always with the goal of empowering growth and success.
Beyond individualized assistance plans, the team also enriches the experience of the entire student body through Advisory classes, which focus on executive functioning skills. In these sessions, students learn how to advocate for themselves, recognize their strengths and challenges, and develop habits that support focus and responsibility—all while having space to complete tasks in a calm, structured environment.
Whether a student has specific learning needs or simply benefits from guidance along the way, Ms. Atkinson and her team are committed to walking alongside every Cardinal Newman student, offering encouragement, tools, and support so that each one can reach their fullest potential.
