n our efforts to provide nutritional meals for our students during the school day, Cardinal Newman School is pleased to announce its partnership with the Schoolhouse Fare Lunch Program.

The Schoolhouse Fare owners are Carol Fair and Bradley Morrow, stay-at-home mothers with school age children, located in Charleston, SC.
Schoolhouse Fare is an automated full service lunch management program that allows families to order and pay for school lunches online. This service is offered at no cost to the school with a portion of the lunch revenue being doanted to Cardinal Newman School. View the Schoolhouse Fare website for more information.
An ala carte monthly menu offeres a variety of popular and healthy menu choices from local family dining restaurants. A different restaurant is offered each day of the week with this schedule repeated throughout the month. For an entree with a side of fruit, the prices start at $3.50 plus sales tax. Side items and milk are available.
The menu is transfat free, offering fruit, vegetables, calcium and protein rich foods on a daily basis. The nutritional profile of the menu has been reviewed by nutrition and wellness expert, Dr. Ann G. Kulze of Charleston, SC to promote reasonably healthy and balanced lunches. All Cardinal Newman families and staff members who have registered with Schoolhouse Fare can access the lunch order program.
If you are a registered family, you can view the monthly menu, order and pay for your child's selected lunches online. You can access your account at any time to view orders and payments.
Payments can be made online through a secure site which accepts Visa, MasterCard or Discover credit cards. Other payment options are to telephone us with your credit card information or submit a check as payment for your lunch order. Payment should be submitted at the time of the order and mailed to Schoolhouse Fare, LLC.
Beginning Monday, July 28, 2008, you can log into the system through the Cardinal Newman website or by logging into the Schoolhouse Fare order form. At this time, log-in as a "First Time User" and "Activate Account." Enter your 10-digit telephone number and 5-digit zip code to set up your family account. For families with children at St. Joseph Catholic School, you will be prompted to select the school of your child and then use the same e-mail address, telephone number and password for both school accounts to place orders for each child.
On Monday, July 28, 2008, the menu for August 20-September 5, 2008 will be posted and available for orders through Tuesday, August 12, 2008.
